The city of Canton, OH, is located in Stark County, about 60 miles south of Cleveland in the northeast region of the state. It covers just over 25 square miles of land, home to a population of roughly 75,000 people.

Founded in 1805 and named after the city of Guangzhou, China, Canton became incorporated as a city in 1838. President William McKinley made his home in Canton in the late 19th century, up to his election in 1900. The city today is the site of the William McKinley Presidential Library and Museum, as well as the McKinley National Memorial. Sports fans will recognize Canton as the birthplace of professional American football, thanks to the Canton Bulldogs of the early 20th century. Now home to the Pro Football Hall of Fame, Canton has seen a good amount of urban redevelopment in recent years.
