DOVER, OH
The city of Dover, OH, is located in Tuscarawas County, less than 25 miles south of Canton along Interstate 77. Dover covers 5.7 square miles of land along the Tuscarawas River near the mouth of Sugar Creek, home to a population of roughly 13,000 people.
Dover was formed in 1807 and thought to be named after the local Dover family. Today, Dover is established as a twin city to neighboring New Philadelphia. An annual high school football game between the Dover Tornadoes and the New Philadelphia Quakers has been played for more than a century, making it one of Ohios longest-running football rivalries. Dover also hosts the countys Italian-American festival every summer.
