The city of Massillon, OH, is located in Stark County, about eight miles west of Canton and 50 miles south of Cleveland. Massillon covers roughly 18.5 square miles of land, home to a population of just over 32,000 people.

Incorporated in 1868, Massillon holds the nickname “Tigertown USA,” along with the motto the “City of Champions.” The city is rich in industrial history, with such organizations as C.M. Russell & Company and the Massillon Iron Bridge Company forming in the 19th century and employing local residents for decades. Large steel plants also dominated the area throughout the 20th century. Today, Massillon is home to the Massillon Museum, Lions Lincoln Theatre and the Ohio Military Museum. High school football has long been a major contribution to the city’s culture.
